400 Defibrillators Sent to Ukraine

Over the past several months, the Washington Ukrainian Humanitarian Center has brought the community together through holiday gatherings, workshops, and charitable events that served a larger purpose — raising funds to support lifesaving medical needs in Ukraine.

Community members celebrated the New Year together, participated in community bazaars, and attended hands-on master classes where people learned new skills while contributing to a meaningful cause. Each of these events helped raise funds to purchase automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for evacuation teams and first responders working in Ukraine.

In emergency situations, when a heart stops beating, every minute is critical. Access to a defibrillator can mean the difference between life and death.

Today, thanks to the dedication and generosity of our community, 400 defibrillators have already been sent to Ukraine.
