Washington Ukrainian Festival Supports Rehabilitation of Wounded Ukrainian Defenders

Part of the proceeds from the 2026 Washington Ukrainian Festival is helping wounded Ukrainian service members get the rehabilitation they need.

The Washington Ukrainian Humanitarian Center has partnered with the Krylamy Charitable Foundation for the first time to support the recovery of wounded service members from Special Unit “Kryla,” a high-tech unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) unit under the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

These service members have been injured while defending Ukraine and need rehabilitation as they recover. Through this partnership, the Washington Ukrainian Humanitarian Center is helping provide support during this important stage of their recovery.

The project is funded in part by proceeds from the Washington Ukrainian Festival. Each year, the festival brings people together to celebrate Ukrainian culture, music, and food while raising funds for medical and educational projects in Ukraine. This is one way those contributions are making a difference beyond the festival grounds.
