Rehabilitation Equipment Now Supporting Patient Recovery at Nadvirna Hospital

Rehabilitation Equipment at Nadvirna Hospital

Earlier this spring, Washington Ukrainian Humanitarian Center partnered with Sandie Stoianovici and St. John's Episcopal Church, Norwood Parish (Bethesda–Chevy Chase) to host an Easter Market celebrating Ukrainian craftsmanship and supporting Ukraine in a meaningful way.

Visitors came to browse handmade works created by Ukrainian artisans, connect with the community, and bring home something special. Behind every piece was a story — and years of relationships built by Sandie with artisans across Ukraine, helping share authentic Ukrainian culture with our local community.

Today, we are proud to share that this project has come full circle.

Funds raised through the Easter Market have been used to purchase rehabilitation equipment for the Rehabilitation and Recovery Medicine Center at Nadvirna Central District Hospital, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The hospital has now received:

  • A RedCord rehabilitation system
  • A dynamic standing frame

This equipment will support patients recovering from trauma, stroke, neurological conditions, and other long rehabilitation journeys — helping restore movement, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.
