Rebuilding Childhood: A Safe Place in Vovkovyntsi

Rebuilding Childhood: A Safe Place in Vovkovyntsi

For nearly a year, the Washington Ukrainian Humanitarian Center has been working on something really special - renovating a daytime center for kids in the village of Vovkovyntsi, in Ukraine's Khmelnytskyi region.

What was once a worn, outdated space is now completely transformed. The center now has new windows and doors, an air conditioning system, fully renovated interior spaces, and important exterior improvements.

The center is a safe, welcoming place for children from vulnerable families - a place where they can spend time together, feel supported, and just be kids. With thoughtfully designed programs, they'll have a chance to learn, grow, and build connections.
